How We Support Families...

Your family needs are just as unique as your learners.  Whether your personalized learning journey includes homeschooling or advocating within a school environment, we are here to support you.  

Hourly Consultation

This is ideal for parents who have specific questions about their learner’s education and are seeking consultation on an as-needed basis. This includes homeschool planning as well as our partnership as school advocates for families with gifted/2e learners. Thirty minute consultation: $80
Sixty minute consultation: $150

semester Homeschool Support

This package includes one hour per month of parent/family educational support, along with asynchronous email support as needed. Four-month package is $500. More frequent support packages are also available.

Curated Homeschool Curriculum


This option is ideal for families who are exploring interests or transitioning from a classroom experience. Your consultants work with both the learners and their adults to curate semester-long individualized learning curriculum and other resource options around their specific interests, goals, and family budget. This includes an introductory hour of consultation, curation time, and a second hour of consultation with an individualized slide deck of options specifically for your family. $600

CogAT, IOWA, Suite of Tools Assessments

The IOWA/CoGAT assessment package provides valuable tools for homeschool families to cognitive screening (typically used for gifted programs) and standardized achievement testing. Our package includes online multi-day assessments utilizing the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and Iowa Achievement-Based Assessments, at or above grade level, along with a 1/2 hour post-assessment review and consultation. $225.

Co-Founder Lisa Jobe also holds an exclusive license to provide families with the Suite of Tools Strengths-Based Assessment Portfolio, designed with research-backed findings specifically for gifted-2e learners. More information can be found on our Assessments page.

Mentoring & Individualized Instruction

Gifted/2e learners often need individualized instruction that best matches their pace, depth, learning style, and interests. Sequoia Gifted provides individualized instruction and refers families to other mentors who have worked with our unique learners, all to consistently high reviews. Gifted/2e Parent Support Groups

As a SENG-trained community group facilitator, we also partner with other gifted/2e experts to provide parent support cohorts and community. Please see our Parent Support Group page.

Lisa Jobe, JD

Lisa is a nationally recognized expert and advocate for the unique needs of gifted and twice exceptional learners that are often best served beyond traditional education models.  She is active in the national gifted/2e community, supporting families and advocating for the unique needs of profoundly gifted learners, educator support for homeschool options, and strengths-based interest-focused learning.

PG/2e Parenting

After beginning her career as a corporate attorney, Lisa has spent nearly 20 years homeschooling her own profoundly gifted children while actively teaching, mentoring, and serving as a gifted resource. She co-founded this practice to provide gifted/2e parenting resources based on her own first-hand experiences.

Nationally Recognized Expertise

Lisa is widely recognized as a gifted/2e parenting expert and frequently presents at national conferences, including NAGC. She is on the Board of Directors of the Gifted Homeschoolers Forum (GHF), where she founded and leads the international gifted/2e parent co-op. Lisa is also a SENG certified parent group facilitator, leads parent support in the Davidson Young Scholars community, and serves on the Member Advisory Group of NAGC. Additionally, Lisa is an IRB-approved researcher of topics related to gifted/2e families.

Credentials

Lisa graduated from Case Western Reserve University summa cum laude with dual majors in Economics and Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctorate at The George Washington University and practiced as a corporate employment attorney before becoming Associate General Counsel of a Fortune 500. Her career evolved as she focused on necessitating radical acceleration of learning for her gifted children and like peers. She is an experienced classroom teacher as well as a popular individualized instructor. Lisa is also a doctoral student, continuing her formal studies in gifted/2e, and holds a certificate in twice-exceptional education. In addition, she is a SENG-certified facilitator and a certified assessment expert in providing Suite of Tools strengths-based assessments for gifted/2e learners.

Lisa co-founded Sequoia Gifted and Creative with her dear friend and colleague Cassandra Whetstone.  Lisa and Cassandra raised their profoundly gifted/2e families together, navigating through educational pathways including traditional schooling, charters, private homeschooling, and early college together. After several decades as an experienced educator, Cassandra retires this summer to focus on legislative efforts. She will be available as-needed for consulting.
