Sequoia Gifted and Creative, LLC

Strategic consultation, advocacy, and educational guidance
for families with Highly & Profoundly Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Learners

Sequoia Gifted & Creative provides leading expertise in educational consultation and advocacy for highly gifted and profoundly gifted learners, including those who are twice-exceptional, and their families. As educational consultants and school advocates, we have partnered with hundreds of families across the United States and internationally to support informed decision-making around learning fit, pacing, placement, and long-term educational planning across public, private, and alternative educational settings.

How We Help

Whether you are reviewing new cognitive or achievement results, preparing for a school placement decision, or considering an alternative educational pathway, Sequoia Gifted provides strategic educational planning and guidance to help families determine clear and thoughtful next steps.

Learning Profile & Assessment Interpretation

We provide strengths-based learning profile assessments as well as cognitive and achievement measures, and we help families make sense of cognitive and academic results from outside evaluations. Our process translates data into clear, strategic next steps aligned with each learner’s strengths.

Strategic School Advocacy & Representation

When school placement, acceleration, or support decisions are needed, we provide structured guidance, documentation, and preparation grounded in research-informed strategy. As appropriate, this may include participation in school meetings to support clear communication and effective, strengths-based advocacy.

Homeschool Pathway Design & Transitions

For families designing or transitioning into personalized learning pathways, we provide strategic planning aligned with a learner’s strengths, pace, and long-term goals. This includes guidance for families considering or enrolled in Sequoia Gifted Academy (SGA) as a structured homeschool umbrella option.

We Understand

That being "so smart" or "so creative" can feel lonely or misunderstood;

That navigating educational options for learners with complex needs can feel overwhelming.

That there are many viable pathways to success; and

That curiosity, creativity, and “out-of-the-box thinking” need space, support, and trust to flourish.

How We Support Families...

Your family needs are just as unique as your learners.  Whether your personalized learning journey includes homeschooling or advocating within a school environment, we are here to support you.

Our partnership may include:

  • Individual consultations to help families clarify concerns, understand their learner’s profile, and identify appropriate next steps, including serving as family advocates in school meetings and planning conversations

  • Learning profile and academic assessments that inform school advocacy, educational planning, and placement decisions

  • Curated homeschool curriculum and individualized learning pathways for learners whose needs are not met by standard educational models

  • Homeschool support, including Sequoia Gifted Academy (SGA), which may include educational support and guidance, relational mentorship, peer connections, and access to one-to-one instruction for highly gifted and twice-exceptional learners

Families often begin with a consultation, and from there we help identify the most appropriate supports and pathways.
