School advocacy begins with understanding your child. Every profoundly gifted and 2e learner has a unique combination of strengths, needs, and goals. Together, we’ll develop a thoughtful, research-informed advocacy strategy tailored to your child’s educational profile, school setting, and your family’s goals.
Every profoundly gifted learner has a unique educational profile. My advocacy begins by understanding your child’s strengths, needs, goals, and current educational environment before recommending strategies or attending meetings.
My work is guided by the Educational Fit Alignment Framework, which considers five essential areas of educational fit: academic and cognitive challenge, social connection, emotional well-being, physical and sensory needs, and opportunities for creativity.
School advocacy is about more than preparing for a single meeting. It begins with understanding the whole learner, developing a thoughtful strategy, and identifying the educational opportunities that will best support long-term growth.
As a former attorney and doctor of education specializing in profoundly gifted and twice-exceptional learners, I combine current research, best practices, and experience supporting several hundred gifted families to develop individualized advocacy strategies. My research has shaped an approach that looks beyond individual accommodations or placements to consider each learner’s overall educational fit.
Whether advocating for acceleration, curriculum replacement, gifted programming, accommodations, modified schedules, homeschool planning, or other individualized supports, I help families develop thoughtful, research-informed recommendations tailored to their child’s unique strengths, needs, and long-term educational goals.
Every learner, family, and school situation is unique. The Core School Advocacy Package provides individualized support before, during, and after your scheduled school meeting.
