My work is guided by the Educational Fit Alignment Framework, which considers five essential areas of educational fit: academic and cognitive challenge, social connection, emotional well-being, physical and sensory needs, and opportunities for creativity.

As a former attorney and doctor of education specializing in profoundly gifted and twice-exceptional learners, I combine current research, best practices, and experience supporting several hundred gifted families to develop individualized advocacy strategies. My research has shaped an approach that looks beyond individual accommodations or placements to consider each learner’s overall educational fit.
