Sequoia Gifted Academy is a California private homeschool umbrella school (Private School Satellite Program, or PSP) created specifically for profoundly gifted and PG-2e learners and their families. More than a traditional umbrella school, SGA combines the flexibility of homeschooling with personalized educational planning, expert guidance, and a long-term educational partnership.
There is no single “right” homeschool curriculum for profoundly gifted learners. Founded and led by Dr. Lisa Jobe, Executive Director of Sequoia Gifted Academy, SGA reflects both professional expertise and lived experience. A former attorney and doctor of education specializing in profoundly gifted and PG-2e learners, Dr. Jobe has partnered with hundreds of families to design individualized educational pathways. As the parent of profoundly gifted and PG-2e young adults, she also understands firsthand the opportunities and complexities of raising exceptionally gifted learners.
